It takes some discipline in terms of your diet and a good amount of effort to make sure you do the exercises you need to get that flat tummy.</p>
<p>Here are some moves you can try at home to help you achieve a tighter tummy:</p>
<h3>Russian Twist</h3>
<p>This is used by world class athletes and was first used in the former USSR. This works your obliques or the part of your abdominal muscles that runs on the sides of your lower trunk.</p>
<p>To do it, you need to sit on an exercise mat on a flat floor bending your knees and keeping your feet together. Then you lean back to tighten your abs a bit. The obliques will work as you turn your body to your right or left and stretching your hands out, palms together, as you twist your body. Do it slowly and breathe as you rotate.</p>
<h3>Bringing your knees to your elbows</h3>
<p>While on a bench, you grip the bench by your hand and place your elbows just on the side of yoru face. Pull your knees up and bring them to your elbows. Do it slowly and make sure you breathe as you do the exercise. It might be a bit difficult at first but it will be easier as you develop the strength of your upper abdominals.</p>
<h3>Jackknife</h3>
<p>The name might scare you away but it is safe and do-able. You need a Swiss ball for this. You need to assume a push up position but your feet will be on the exercise ball and your palms on the floor. Squeeze your tummy in thru the movement, as you try to bring your knees up to your chin. Repeat the motion about three times without any rest in between.</p>
<h3>Side curl while standing</h3>
<p>You need to hold a pair of dumbbells for this exercise. Standing with the dumbbells held by your hands on the side, palm facing outward. Slowly bring the dumbbells to your shoulders. Count slowly as your bring them up, hold for about three seconds, and slowly straighten your arms. Repeat this several times without any rest in between.</p>

These words trigger our memories of past experiences related to pain.</p>
<p>Mental health experts from a university in Germany subjected 16 people in a test. They required the subjects to read words which are pain related while imagining or recalling scenarios which can represent or correspond to the words. The subjects were also asked to repeat the exercise while a brain teaser distracts them. The brains of the subjects were scanned by a <a href="http://www.jumboscan.com/magnetic-resonance-imaging-MRI.php" target="_blank">magnetic resonance imaging or MRI</a> during the activities.</p>
<p>The proponents confirmed that there were certainly activities in the pain centers of the brains as the subjects read<em> “painful”</em> words and recounted an associated painful scenario.</p>
<p><span id="more-40"></span>The center of the brain might be triggered because it wants the body to avoid a similar painful experience. The pain centers were triggered despite being distracted by brain teasers or other inputs.</p>
<p>The number of subjects were limited but that setup is typical to studies involving brain imaging.</p>
<p>The psychologists also tried to use other negative but non-pain related words like <em>“horrible”</em>, <em>“disgusting”</em>, or <em>“terrifying”</em> but these did not trigger the pain matrix of the brain. Positive and neutral words did not produce any activity comparable to those linked to pain-related words.</p>

<p>In recent years, food manufacturers and the general public began to notice the negative effects of trans fats on health. As a result, the food industry has created aromatic margarine, which are now found in all stores. Aromatic margarine contains no trans fats, and is less consistent than the first generation solid margarine.</p>
<p>Currently, food no longer use liquid vegetable oils, but a very small amount of modified palm and palm kernel oil to make margarine to spread more easily, thus margarine is less strong and not contain trans fats.</p>
<p>Warning: Butter naturally contains trans fats, but it is a friendly type.<br />
